Qualified Social Worker |Children Looked After Team | Devon County Council *
To be considered, it is essential that you have a recognised Social Work qualification (Social Work Degree or Diploma in Social Work) and full Social Work England registration as well as recent or significant relevant experience in a similar role.
We are seeking an Experienced Social Worker for our South Devon team , supporting children and young people in our care.
Focussing on family-led outcomes you will build and maintain positive relationships with children and young people, and their families to achieve safety and stability.
You will model high standards of professional social work practice and will be used to working at pace, within a high pressurised environment.
You will provide good quality assessments to ensure improved consistent outcomes for our children and young people, with no drift or delay for families.
Skills & Experience
- A social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
- Satisfactory completion your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)
- Robust post qualifying social work experience within children and families
- Exceptional communication and relationship skills
- A sound knowledge of fostering regulations and legislation.
- Experience of working within Fostering and/or demonstration of transferrable skills from another current or previous role.
- Exceptional time-management, recording and planning skills
- A willingness to work across the whole of the South Fostering area.
Social Workers need to be available to cover their allocations and visit children as necessary to meet service needs. There may be occasions when home-working will be permitted which can be discussed at interview.
