Job Title: Practice Development Officer - Children's Social Care

Location: Liverpool (Hybrid - Minimum 3 days on-site per week)

Rate: £42ph Ltd

Are you a passionate and experienced Practice Development Officer ready to make a real impact in children's social care? We're looking for a registered social worker to support and mentor learners within our Workforce Development Team, helping shape the next generation of social workers.

About the Role:

You'll play a central role in delivering and leading our ASYE programme, developing high-quality learner pathways, and mentoring our workforce to excellence. You'll work closely with Practice Educators and support our Quality Assurance Service, driving best practice across the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leading the ASYE programme and mentoring newly qualified social workers.
  • Designing and delivering impactful learner programmes, including Apprenticeships and Step-ups.
  • Facilitating high-quality training, using your expertise in children's legislation, case management, policies, and frameworks.
  • Supporting Practice Educators and promoting continuous professional development.
  • Undertaking audits and championing good practice across the organisation.
  • What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Practice Development Officer or similar role.
  • Strong background in mentoring, supervising, and delivering training.
  • In-depth knowledge of children's social care and professional development frameworks.
  • Ability to work on-site in the Liverpool area at least 3 days a week.
  • To be considered, it is essential that you have a recognised Social Work qualification (Social Work Degree or Diploma in Social Work) and full Social Work England registration as well as recent or significant relevant experience in a similar role.
