This role is to provide a comprehensive Social Work service to Adults and their carers across the Stockton Borough within the First Contact team which is the front door for Adult social care in Stockton Borough council.

We are looking for an experienced social worker in the field of Adult Safeguarding and preferably with front door experience.

The worker will need to have the ability to work fast paced and be able to use their experience and knowledge to make decisions.

The role will consist of making decisions in respect of safeguarding alerts/concerns and referring any appropriate alerts/concerns to the Adult Safeguarding Team for further enquiry/investigation in line with the relevant legislation and policies.

The worker may also be expected to support with managing the waiting list of referrals by ensuring risks are considered and prioritised.

The social worker will report to the Deputy Team Manager and the Team manager and work closely with the social worker in the team as well as close relationships with the Adult Safeguarding team.

This job is based at Dunedin House in Stockton with some ability to work remotely once trained and as appropriate.

The job is 8.30-5pm to cover the needs of the service with appropriate breaks.
